Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, Chinese economy has made phenomenal progress. In 2008, the GDP amounted to RMB30.0670t, up by 9.0% of 2007. In terms of industries, the added value in the primary industry reached RMB3.4t, up by 5.5%; that of the secondary industry RMB14.6183t, up by 9.3%; and that of the tertiary industry RMB12.0487t, up by 9.5%. The proportion of the added value of the primary industry among the GDP was 11.3%, up by 0.2% of 2007; that of the secondary industry 48.6%, up by 0.1%; and that of the tertiary industry 40.1%, down by 0.3%.
With respect to foreign investment utilization, in 2008, the number of the utilized foreign investment projects in the three industries amounted to 27514, with the actually utilized foreign capital of USD92.39b. Among them, the projects in the primary industry were 917, with actually utilized foreign capital of USD1.19b, up by 28.89% year-on-year; the projects in the secondary industry 12299, with the actually utilized foreign capital of USD53.26b, up by 24.25% year-on-year; and the projects in the tertiary industry 14298, with actually utilized foreign capital of USD37.95b, up by 22.48% year-on-year. |
